In Ithaca, New York, as of Sunday night of the first weekend, all performances
of Fahrenheit 9/11 have
been sold out, with hundreds being turned away (none of the people in this shot
were able to get in -- the line stretched to the right, around the corner and
down the stairs to the theater box office). Our home-grown Bush Must Go campaign
(www.bushmustgo.net) did voter registration and passed out information about the
Iraq war while people waited in line on a beautiful Sunday afternoon for the
matinee.
Both
the Ithaca-based Bush Must Go! campaign and the Kerry campaign were out on the
Ithaca Commons with the people queuing up for Fahrenheit 911.
What do we do once we've seen Fahrenheit 911?
In Ithaca, New York, we have our home-grown Bush Must Go campaign (www.bushmustgo.net) that does voter registration, education, movies, and our yard signs that are popping up all over town, helping raise consciousness, stimulate discussion in the community and demonstrate a visible opposition to the Bush administration.
