One of the outcomes from the Peace Summit last spring at Cornell was the idea for a political group to begin working immediately to get Bush and his friends out of Washington. As a result, a small group of about 12 began meeting as the Peace, Justice, & Participation group.

The first thing we have decided to do is to purchase 1,000 large yard signs. They will be dark blue with the words "Bush Must Go! printed in large letters across the top section with a large, blank white box underneath. The idea is that folks can write whatever message as to why Bush Must Go that they want in the box, or buy one or more of a series of 10 bumper stickers with catchy phrases in red to place in the space. Folks can use different bumper stickers to change their message, or use white contact paper to write new messages of their own. In the main, the bumper stickers are aimed at catching the attention of middle class folks who are now solidly in the Bush camp.

We can purchase the 1,000 signs and 2,500 bumper stickers for $5,000 (from a union print shop with progressive ideals). We can sell one yard sign and one bumper sticker for around $6 and make a small profit to fund more signs, newspaper ads, handouts, etc. We have raised $3,000 so far and need an additional $2,000 as soon as possible so we can get these signs out throughout the county.

Please send whatever you can afford to:

TCLWC, (TC Living Wage Coalition)
110 N. Geneva Street
Ithaca, NY 14850

Checks should be made payable to: TCLWC and there should *definitely* be a note for Bush Must Go!

Donations will be very much appreciated, as they will enable us to use any money we raise to further the campaign, but if you need to make it as a loan, we will repay you as soon as possible.

We also have a new web site: www.bushmustgo.net. There isn't much on it yet as it is new and we're just beginning, but check it out soon.

Thank you,
