Howard Engelskirchen of the Bush Must Go! Steering Committee sends out the following urgent message re: Cindy Sheehan and her vigil in Crawford, TX.

(Friday, 8/12/05, 2 p.m.)

Please help the Ithaca (NY) Community send a peace delegation to support Cindy Sheehan in her vigil at Crawford, Texas. Already we have several persons from the community willing to make the trip. We need to make arrangements for this quickly.

Spontaneous support for this vigil is growing throughout the country. In San Diego County two women who had never participated in any peace activities before located Cindy Sheehan's phone, called her and asked what she needed. She said, "I need bodies". (On Air America last night I heard that they now need vans for transportation!) Let us help folks from Tompkins County join her.

Cindy Sheehan's website is www.meetwithcindy.org This gives you directions to Crawford, only 1625 miles away.

We need funds; we need volunteers; perhaps we need vans.

This demonstration, because it has erupted spontaneously has the potential to communicate the enormity of antiwar feeling we remember from February 15, 2003, now spread very widely among all segments of our communities. But we must act fast. Bush is in Crawford for five weeks and one week is gone.
